I HAVE BEEN AMAZED at how most Americans blindly believe nearly everything Bush Jr. says, even when what he says is preposterous or inconsistent. He can lead the public around like a bull with a ring through its nose believing, for example, that bin Laden is immensely dangerous one day and that bin Laden can safely be ignored the next.
